Rooms is the only full length album Goya Dress released. It was recorded and mixed over six weeks in the summer of 1995 at Battery Studios in North London and was released in 1996 on Vinyl, CD and cassette formats.

John Cale produced and mixed the album with Martin Brass engineering. Further mixing on tracks Sweet Dreams For You, Crush, Scorch, Glorious, Any John and Picture This on the album was by Dave Bascombe.

John Cale plays the piano on Scorch. The Brodsky quartet appear on Katie Stood On The Benches but didn’t appear on the sleeve notes for contractural reasons.

Martin Brass (engineer) went on to found the highly successful marketing company Blue Latitude.

Katie Stood On The Benches was the first song Astrid ever wrote.
